The evaluation of the program of listening centers and school mediation in Moroccan public schools

Abstract

Not only does this study aims at determining the nature of psychological support and its mechanisms but also seeking the drawbacks of the educational Moroccan system. What is more, this study high lights the efficiency of the propagation of listening centers and school mediation in the Moroccan community and come up with some recommendations and suggestions that can contribute to raising the quality of education.

In order to achieve these purposes, the program of listening centers and school mediation has been evaluated while preparing and distributing questionnaires to a sample of students who have taken part of the program. Finally, the contents of these questionnaires and interviews have been unloaded in a quantitative manner using the automatic discharge program Spss in the form of frequency tables and percentages and in qualitative way using the divisionof the data contained in the open answers to units and    categories.                                                    
The results showed a consensus about the urgent need of the listening centers and school mediation program, the lack of a large number of educational institutions to this program, and about the success of the program in spite of the difficulties faced such as the lack of definition and the limitation of the program to listen and neglection of other important aspects like tracking mediation and others,  the lack of involvement of psychologists, the lack of availability motivation and valuation of their efforts, the absence of training in the field of psychology, the insufficiency of equipment, the lack of material and logistical support, the lack of involvement of parents and nothing has been done to raise the awareness of parents in the development of their kids personality as well as in the process of learning, and the insufficient time allocated to the program. Also, the specific needs of learners, the psychological disorders from which the students suffer and the specific guidelines theory are not taken into account to design the activities, as well as evasion administration responsibility of activating the program. Finally, the random work planning organization implementation and evaluation.
