The resilience factors of Casablanca high school students

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to learn about the reasons that some high school students cling to studies. To do this, a qualitative survey based on semi-structured interviews was carried out live with high school students suffering from these difficult living conditions and selected through the listening center and school mediation within the secondary establishment Ibn Toumert. And as a result, I was able to infer that the school career of these high school students is influenced by many risk factors that expose students to devolution, poor academic performance or dropping out. However, these high school students remain resilient because they are motivated for internal reasons like self-actualization and skills development and external ones like social advancement, graduation and calculating benefits.
