The Functional Efficiency of University Education Services in Baghdad City (Al-Mustansiriyah University as a Model)

Abstract

The research aims to study university services in the city of Baghdad and evaluate their functional efficiency, taking Al-Mustansiriyah University as a model for the study. The descriptive and analytical methods were adopted to analyze the relevant data, including (the number of students, the number of classrooms, and the number of academic departments) The research also relied on applying national planning standards to analyze and assess the level of efficiency of university educational services in Baghdad and apply them to the colleges of Al-Mustansiriyah University according to their specializations (scientific and human), The study used several standards, including (student/teacher) and (student/classroom) and (department/ college)

to measure the adopted indicators in the study.

The study reached several conclusions, most notably the emergence of a clear disparity in the distribution of the colleges of Al-Mustansiriya University; as most of the colleges were spread out in different areas of the city of Baghdad, and the main campus of the university included only three colleges, The study also concluded that functional efficiency was not achieved in the number of students, teachers, and the number of halls and departments that exist in reality with the planning standards set for them.
