Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) tends to reinforce the centralization of  information in the hands of a few dominant platforms (the “GAFAM”).

This paper explores how AI-related data extraction and processing mechanisms consolidate these actors ‘informational power, the risks this concentration poses to pluralism and digital sovereignty, and the regulatory, technical, and social approaches that could help rebalance the informational ecosystem.
