Integration between Law and AI Technology

Abstract

This research investigates the integration of law and artificial intelligence (AI) technology, focusing on their mutual influence and potential to benefit humanity. It addresses the basic concepts of technology, law, and AI, and the historical development of their relationship. Various AI technologies, such as drones, smartphones, robots, smart applications, etc., are highlighted for their roles in creating legal tools like electronic courts and judges. The misuse of AI for illegal activities has led to legislative action, presenting challenges and benefits such as regulatory complexity, enforcement, and ethical dilemmas, balanced by increased safety, legal clarity, and innovation. The study analyzes the law-AI relationship and proposes recommendations for effective integration, using Jordanian legislation as a case study. The research concludes with findings and recommendations for harmonizing law and AI to enhance societal benefits.
