Abstract

This study examines Averroist thought as an integrated cognitive model that seeks to bridge the gap between revelation and reason, and between sacred text and civil governance. The study stems from the hypothesis that the "Unity of Truth" is the epistemological regulator that allowed Averroes to blend the tools of Aristotelian logic with juristic reasoning. This synthesis transforms the reconciliation of wisdom and Sharia into a way of life that links jurisprudence with politics.

The study investigates how Averroes employed the mechanisms of "interdisciplinarity" to build the "Virtuous City," grounded in the demonstration of the jurist and the wisdom of the politician. It also critiques historical political shifts that led to tyranny due to the absence of integrated knowledge. Furthermore, the research highlights his advanced perspective on the status of women and the role of demonstrative interpretation in protecting social peace and achieving intellectual security. The study concludes with the necessity of reclaiming a "New Arab Averroism" as a tool for achieving a renaissance and reforming educational institutions by integrating human and Sharia sciences within the framework of the unity of knowledge.
