An article on functional texts in Moroccan school textbooks and their role in addressing the risk of internet addiction among young people, using the fifth and sixth grades of primary school as a model

Abstract

School textbooks are the first body of knowledge and scientific material a child encounters in their classroom. Therefore, those who appreciate their use in guiding young people and making them a foundation for scientific knowledge and practical application can easily find suitable solutions for instilling all the values ​​these textbooks refer to.

However, if we treat them merely as texts to be read without interpretation and analysis, then we We will not instill values ​​that are the foundation of educationand upbringing. In these texts that we have drawn upon and interpreted, we have been given lessons and values ​​in solving modern problems and difficulties, namely, the method and means of combating theaddiction of young people to social media without benefit. With appropriate solutions, we can take a prominent solution to this difficulty that parents face with their children. These texts, written by authors, are intended to spread knowledge and pass on noble and good values ​​among learners. Their purpose is not merely to extract phenomena, but they are also a tool and a means to instill beautiful qualities in learners.
