Abstract

Artificial Intelligence has profoundly reshaped the translation industry by enabling unparalleled speed, scalability, and high-cost efficiency. With the rise of state-of-the-art neural machine translation models like Google Translate, neural machine translation (NMT), DeepL, OpenAI's GPT series, and others, large amounts of text can be translated in a matter of seconds, in what would normally take hours or days of human effort. The approach compares the AI and human translations from different domains (literary, legal, and technical). Literary texts favour originality, cadence, and emotional beat. Legal writing is formal and precise, and the forms that words take must be followed, from language to language. Technical writing requires consistency, precision, and clarity.
