Abstract

This study explores the concept of regulated motion in Qur’anic discourse, emphasizing its significance for the Muslim individual and society. In contrast to the prevalent unregulated motion that fosters aimlessness, materialism, and moral disruption, the Qur’an provides a framework that grounds human action in divine legislation and aligns it with the cosmic order. Through a thematic exegesis (al-tafsīr al-mawḍūʿī) of selected verses—both implicit and explicit—the research demonstrates how this concept redirects human activity from transient worldly pursuits toward the eternal purpose of the Hereafter, thereby offering an integrated Qur’anic vision of purposeful living.
