Abstract

Executive functions play a crucial role in our ability to plan, make decisions, solve problems, and regulate our emotions. In this article, we will explore the different models of executive functions that have been developed over the years. These models offer varied perspectives on how these cognitive functions interact and manifest themselves in our daily lives. By examining recent theories and research, we will highlight the importance of these functions in human development and their impact on our behavior. Based on an analytical epistemological study, this article aims to provide keys to better understand the underlying mechanisms of executive functions.
