Abstract

Abstract: The study aimed to identify the most obstacles that prevent female students from practicing extracurricular activities at the university from their point of view. To achieve the goal, the analytical descriptive method was used to suit the nature of the study, and a questionnaire consisting of (30) paragraphs was built as a tool for the study after reviewing the educational literature and previous studies on the subject, and the study sample consisted of (100) female students at the Faculty of Education for Girls - University of Baghdad for the academic year 2024-2025. One of the most prominent findings is that one of the obstacles to practicing extracurricular activities is the lack of time allocated for extracurricular activities due to the large number of academic burdens, as well as the fear of some female students to appear and participate due to their isolated nature, in addition to the fact that extracurricular activities are traditional and lack renewal and creativity. The study suggested minimizing teaching burdens and trying to innovate and creativity in the choice of activities that meet the ambition and stimulate creativity. Holding seminars that highlight the importance of educational activities and their advantages and holding workshops to train students to participate in various activities and break the barrier of fear and shyness from practicing them.
