Abstract

This paper investigates the role of brand voice in shaping brand personality and brand identity within digital communication environments. Employing a qualitative, desk-based research design grounded in thematic and discourse analysis, the study examines secondary data drawn from publicly accessible brand communication materials official websites, social media content, and digital marketing assets across brands in the fashion, technology, and financial services industries. The analysis identifies five thematic dimensions of brand voice: language and vocabulary, tone of voice, communication style, emotional expression, and cross-platform consistency. Results demonstrate that brand voice functions as a primary strategic mechanism through which distinct personality traits are constructed and conveyed. Informal, conversational language is consistently associated with sincerity and approachability, while formal, structured language signals competence and professionalism. Emotional tone enhances consumer engagement, and cross-platform consistency is essential for reinforcing coherent brand identity. Grounded in Brand Personality Theory, Consumer Brand Relationship Theory, and Symbolic Interaction Theory, the findings confirm that brand voice is a strategic driver of personality formation and identity construction in digital contexts. The study contributes a structured analytical framework with significant theoretical and practical implications for digital brand management.
