Developing the social heritage to keep up with the demands of the era (a contemporary social-cultural vision)

Abstract

This article addresses the issue of social heritage in Iraqi society and seeks to highlight the gap between prevailing customs and traditions and the demands of the modern era. The article identifies the most prominent manifestations of this problematic heritage, analyzes the reasons for its persistence and its negative effects on individuals and society, and then proposes a set of effective solutions at both the individual and institutional levels, based on a critical analytical methodology that combines social, legal, and psychological dimensions .
