Discourse Analysis in the horizon of the New Rhetoric Malek Ben nabi as a Model

Abstract

             Rhetoric is no longer confined to its aesthetic ornamentation or, more precisely, to mere expression, rather, it has evolved into an intellectual source that engages with philosophy and enters into dialogue with it through its reflections on discourse and oratory, accordingly within the framework of the new rhetoric, every textual manifestation whether written or oral is understood as engaging with realities that are linguistically constructed and validated through diverse interpretive processes, such realities are intrinsically bound to the contextual condition governing the production of the text, as well as to specific hermeneutic moment in which the text or discourse becomes subject to a determinate act of reading, it is a renewed idea in language, and this change was not born of the moment alone, rather philosophical and intellectual transformations paved the way for it, beginning with Ferdinand de Saussure, whose ideas sparked an intellectual upheaval that influenced much of human thought, this because language, in its intellectual social, and individual dimensions, brought about a different pattern of thinking, it can be said that the decline of a certain intellectual tendency reflects a cooling of enthusiasm for modernity and postmodernity, which do not seek a balanced vision aimed at human stability through discourse analysis, this is what we will attempt to explore by analyzing the discourse of Malek Bennabi, referring to some of his works.
