Abstract

This study aims to investigate the differences between overachievers students and underachievers students in terms of self-esteem and achievement motivation among second-year secondary school students. The study was conducted on a sample of 150 students, including 65 overachievers students and 85 underachievers students, using the Self-Esteem Scale developed by Bruce R. Hare (1985) and the Achievement Motivation Test developed by Abd Rezak Salah El Ghamidi (2009).

The findings indicate statistically significant differences between overachievers students and underachievers students in both self-esteem and achievement motivation, in favor of overachievers students.
