Abstract

The Arabs have known India since ancient times through their various relationships, and this is evidenced by the similarities between the two sides. After the emergence of Islam, these connections were solidified with the principles and system of Islam following the Arab Islamic conquest of Sind (present-day Pakistan) in the year 93 AH / 711 AD, which is part of Indian territory. Thus, this land became one of the regions and provinces of the Islamic state, directly subject to Arab Islamic rule through the caliphate administrators. As a result, a cultural blend emerged between the principles and values the Arab Muslims brought and the heritage and civilization they found in that land. Among the means of communication between the Arab Muslims and India were trade and military contact. The interaction and cultural influence between the Arab Muslims and India took two forms: firstly, the Arab Islamic influence on India, and secondly, the Indian cultural influence on the Arab Muslims. Among the most important sciences that Arab Muslims benefited from in India were astronomy, mathematics, and also the literary aspect.
