Abstract

In the Fatimid state, the theoretical and practical vision of Islamic economics was embodied in several basic aspects that reflected economic and social values and principles derived from Islamic interpretations. For the economic vision in this period, for example, trade and exchange: there was encouragement for trade and fair exchange between Muslims and other peoples. A framework for trade was established based on the concepts of justice and integrity. Agriculture and production witnessed development and improvement, as agriculture was encouraged with advanced techniques to ensure the sustainability of production. In addition to economic justice, there was a focus on achieving balance in the distribution of wealth and promoting economic justice. The Fatimid state built economic policies that reflected the values of justice and equality. Therefore, Islamic financial institutions have witnessed the development of Islamic financial institutions such as waqf and sukuk, representing Islamic foundations in finance and investment. The researcher is trying to shed light on all the concepts mentioned above from several aspects from the perspective of the Islamic economy and its applications to reveal the important role of the Islamic economy in our present day by reviewing the historical economic reading of the Fatimid state and the impact of the Islamic economy on it through the practical application of the Islamic economic vision and the results that achieve economic development. and social studies in the Fatimid state. The study concluded with some recommendations for future research in the field of Islamic economics and the Fatimid state.
