Rulings on adultery, lesbianism, sodomy, masturbation and rulings on testimony concerning adultery (According to the four schools of thought)

Abstract

This study examines the rulings on adultery (Zina) and the testimony required to prove it, presenting the diverse perspectives of Islamic jurists. It focuses on the number of witnesses needed to testify in cases of adultery and explores the differing opinions of scholars on this issue. Additionally, the research addresses the legal rulings concerning lesbianism (Musahaqa), masturbation (Istimna'), and sodomy (Liwat). The significance of this topic lies in the researcher's effort to contextualize these acts within contemporary Libyan society and to clarify their rulings under Islamic law.
