Abstract

Universities are one of the most important social institutions that affect and are affected by the surrounding social atmosphere and have an important role in addition to their role in community service and their educational and cultural role It is concerned with the educational role, which is the upbringing of university youth and the consolidation of social values in order to strengthen the value system in society to avoid and prevent any intellectual or behavioral deviation targeting the emerging group university youth Our interest in this study is on (the role of the university in the upbringing and consolidation of social values among university youth) The research included three axes, where the first axis included defining the concepts and terms of the study, and the second axis included talking about upbringing and social values, while the third axis included the essential points in the research, which is to highlight the role of the university in upbringing and consolidation of social values:  Ways and requirements Our current research has concluded a set of results, the most important of which are, first: where contemporary cultural changes can affect the practices of university students and work to deviate them from the right path, second: university youth in the early stages is the most vulnerable to negative value changes, third: The fact that students constitute the human capital on which society relies in its progress and prosperity on the one hand, and due to the great impact of the university and its effective role in refining and directing the behavior of students, it works to nurture and consolidate social values. to its students through its administrative and teaching bodies and its activities that serve the development of the desired goals .
